New Seniors R Us Store Opens In Rancho Bernardo

by staff on January 1, 2009

Rancho Bernardo, San Diego’s largest retirement community, celebrated the grand opening of a new Seniors R Us store — a national chain that caters to the needs of senior citizens.  Seniors R Us markets itself a store where “a senior can be a senior.”  I personally took a tour of the new store and have to say I was very impressed.

When I  first arrived in the parking lot, I noticed there were plenty of handicap parking spots, as well as special spaces reserved for ambulances and hearses.  As I walked in, I was greeted by a nice able-bodied man in his twenties.

All of the signs marking the aisles were really large and easy to read.  I found one aisle that was dedicated to selling different types of Depends, though I still don’t understand the cherry flavored ones.

There were various sample booths set up throughout the store similar to Costco Stores.  Some of the event’s freebies included prune juice smoothies and gift certificates to Hometown Buffet.

They also had a self checkout that was extremely easy to use with large fonts, extra loud instructions, and directions to the store’s exit.

Cherry Flavored Depends. I hope they’re not edible… 😛
